‘Tis the season!  The season for witches and brews, screams and boos…  (that’s boos.  Not booze.  Unless of course, you’re one of those that likes to spike your pumpkin juice!)

Every post I make during this creepy, crawly month of October will be dedicated to helping you satisfy your appetite for a good ‘ole Halloween movie.  So check back often, and if you have a request or suggestion for an especially great Halloween flick, please let me know!

To start off, I would like to share with you my favorite Halloween movie EVER.  The Halloween That Almost Wasn’t.  This is a great kids movie about the monsters of Halloween (Count Dracula, Frankenstein, The Witch, The Mummy, etc.) gathering together to squelch the rumor that Halloween has been cancelled.  But one of the monsters admits to starting the rumor, and wants some more attention if they are to participate in the holiday ever again.

I watched this movie hundreds of times when I was a kid, usually with my older brother Rusty.  My mom had recorded it off of The Disney Channel, and I remember rewinding spots of that movie over and over until the VHS tape (yeah, remember those?) became fuzzy and that section didn’t work any more.  Parts like “Teeny tiny bat, teeny tiny bat, teeny tiny bat..” and when Count Dracula smashes his face into the closed window.  Classic.

I was delighted to find this 30 minute movie on You Tube.  It’s divided into 3 parts.  Grab your kids and settle in for a quick, hilarious movie to get your Halloween movie watching season started!
