So you’re starting graduate school in the fall to pursue your MBA—while you still have a few more weeks before you dive into your studies, you can get a head start by checking out a few movies designed to give you some insight of what awaits in your future. Plus, it’s a great way to escape the heat, relieve some of your boredom, and save you some cash. That said, below we’ve compiled a list of the top Netflix movies every MBA student should watch this summer.

5. American Gangster (2007)

What? Drug dealing is a small business too! You have to know how to formulate a client list, deal with higher “vendors,” and know how to invest and allocate your money. So in my opinion, this biographical crime flick starring Denzel Washington as a 1970’s New Yorker drug kingpin is an excellent choice to watch at home this summer.

4. Wall Street (1987)

This late 1980’s flick starring Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen pretty much shows you how strongly money and power can corrupt. So be wary and try to keep yourself grounded once you start playing with the big leagues. You can also check out the sequel, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010).

3. The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

We’re not even going to try to sugarcoat it: this movie is pretty depressing. But it does remind you that even with your shiny new MBA degree, you still might struggle with finding success right out of school. But no worries, there’s a happy ending. Plus it has two great main leads: Will Smith and his son Jayden Smith.

2. Inside Job (2010)

This documentary justifiably won an Academy Award in 2010 for Best Documentary Feature. In a nutshell, it attempts to explain how the U.S. found its self in our financial crisis in a five part series. It can definitely help you understand the industry better.

1. The Social Network (2010)

Of course the millennials’ favorite entrepreneur Mark Zuckerburg would make the top of the list. This movie is perfect at explaining some of the struggles you must overcome in order to launch your own business, including finding investors and venture capitalists and creating a brand. It even tackles some legal issues you may encounter along the way.
